Not only a good cocktail, but possibly the name of my next song. I have to admit that, although I’ve done it almost a couple hundred times already, it’s hard to come up with names for songs without lyrics. Some songs are easier than others, but for the most part, it’s hard. I will probably name the final version of the song something else, but for now the name Sex on My Face will have to do.
This song to me is interesting because it represents a combination of a new style I’m playing with and the old style found in my previous albums. In comparison to my usual style, this song is very simple and effective. There isn’t a lot going on and it doesn’t even change a whole lot. Hopefully you’ll like it.
I also seem to be having some sort of artistic block. I’m in the middle of the song and I just can’t seem to finish it in a way that satisfies my strict standards. This happens every so often and can last for weeks unfortunately. The good news is that it is usually followed by a spree of several completed songs in about a week’s or 2 weeks’ time. That means that hopefully once this block is over with, I’ll be able to finish my next album in a short amount of time. Of course, I’ll post my progress here as it goes.
I need your help!
I’m embarking on a promotional campaign to try to spread my music to more eager listeners, but I can’t do it alone. If you like my music and would like to help me out, I would be extremely grateful. I have come up with some suggestions that will take hardly any effort, but are extremely effective. You can find them on the Support the Music page.
Here are some banners you can use as well:
I’ll be honest. I hate listening to rap.
Why do I bring this up? Because there are going to be some tracks with rap on them on my next album. I’ll post them as they become available.
You’re probably wondering why I would have tracks with rap on them if I hate rap. Well, here’s my answer: because hearing music you made with someone else’s vocals laid on top of it is freaking awesome. Also because I had an excellent opportunity to be able to work with a guy I met from Africa who can rap well and was looking for someone to come up with some music for his rap. Say hello to John-Francis.
Just to clarify. There will only be maybe 1 or 2 songs on my album. The rest will be great new instrumentals. I’ll be working with him on several more songs as well, but they will be for his own album.
What are your thoughts on it?
Well, I’ve released my newest album, Kid’s Room. The official release date is August 21, 2007, but it’s now just starting to hit the stores. From the feedback I’ve gotten from several people I know who have already listened to it, I can firmly say that I have very strong expectations for this album and I think this is going to be my best selling one yet. I’m excited to see what you guys think of it.
The next album is already well underway. Already, I’ve got 9 songs done for it, a name and an album cover (subject to change). The album’s name is Parlour. I’ve been experimenting with a style that branches from the new style of Kid’s Room, but of course takes the music in a slightly different direction. I can’t give any more details right now because I don’t have any more details to give. I’ll post them here as they become available though.

I’ve finally gotten around to making a blog for my music. I hope you enjoy it and come back for updates as they become available!
